Glass Manifestation

The presence of a glass door should bemade apparent, with permanent manifestation at two levels, within 800mm to 1000 mm from the floor and within1400 mm to 1600 mm from the floor (Figure 5-24), contrasting visually with the background seen through the glass in all light conditions. The edges of a glass door should also be apparent when the door is open.

Note : If a glass door is adjacent to, or is incorporated within, a fully glazed wall the door and wall should be clearly differentiated from one another , with the door more prominent. To achieve this, the door may be framed on both sides and the top by an opaque high - contrast strip at least 25 mm wide.
